In February 2024, the Parish Council held a public meeting regarding the dilapidated old Pavilion in Down Recreational field and at the same time we held a consultation in Bere Alston, as to whether this building should be replaced. The result was that 76.8% stated that it should be rebuilt.
We have engaged an Architect and obtained a grant for ‘seed’ money for the design and planning stages.
In completing this Questionnaire, your answers and ideas will guide us in producing an excellent building. It is intended that we will seek grants and fundraise to obtain the necessary finance. The proposed plans are below:
